Reported by Deepak Goyal
Fighting against all odds, a blind woman in Rajasthan has surprised all by cracking the Rajasthan Administrative Service examination. The woman, Hina Kalla, lost her eyesight at a very young age, but never let that become an obstacle in her life. Though she failed to clear the examination in the first attempt, she worked even harder to clear it in the second attempt.

Currently undergoing training for becoming an administrative official at the Officers Training School in Jaipur, Hina told Zee News that she never let her blindness come in the way of her ambition.

Hina said that she lost her eyesight in 2006, when she was studying in class 11. She suffered retinal detachment, following which she lost her eyesight completely. Initially she felt that it was the end of the road for her.

Her father and sister came to her rescue and made her believe that the accident must not let her lose her confidence, urging her to fight the battle and emerge victorious.

Encouraged by them, Hina made it her ambition to study and crack administrative services examination. She continued her studies and pursued BA BEd, and also qualified in the second category teachers entrance examination.

She then pursued the job of a teacher from 2013 to 2015, and later became a lecturer in Jodhpur.
Hina gives the credit of her achievements to her father and her sister, Priyanka, who is connected with Computer Science. She recalled that Priyanka first used to read her subjects and then recorded the audio of the same for the ease of Hina. Today, Hina is able to use a computer and a mobile phone without any trouble. She also accesses websites like Google and YouTube for her needs.

However, sky is the limit for Hina, who now aspires to crack the Union Public Service Commission examination to become an Indian Administrative Service officer.
